Dear Committee Members:

Thank you to everyone who participated in last Wednesday’s City/Ward Committee Reorganization Meeting!    It was a very successful first time virtual meeting by way of Zoom and we were very glad to be joined by State Rep. Candidate Christina Eckert!  Christina was a great candidate 2 years ago and came very close to returning the 2nd Essex District seat back into Democratic column.  We are going to do everything possible to make her run successful!  Please go to her website : https://www.eckertforrep.com/ and pledge your support.

Below are the results for the Reorganization of the Ward Committees and City Committee:

                 Paul Accardi, Treasurer

Congratulations to all those elected!  I was very honored to be elected Chair of the HDCC for my 18th year.  Thank you so much for your confidence.

We need a Treasurer for Wards 1, 2 and 5.  If you are interested in serving and not a public employee, please contact your Ward Chair.

We have much work to do this year in what promises to be a very unusual election year.  While we knew, given the Republican President, that this year would be no usual election, none of us could have imagined all that has happened over the last few months.  Knowing the commitment of our members to effect real change, I’m convinced we will think outside the box and make a difference in November.  We will need all hands on deck for our state and regional elections in addition to the Presidential race.

To kick things off Roz McKeon has once again agreed to chair this year’s Breakfast Committee (or whatever event we decide to hold), which as you remember we named after her last year for her many years of service.  The Breakfast Committee will be holding its first meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 7 PM by way of a virtual Zoom meeting.  Please join us to discuss this year’s annual event!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me.  Looking forward to seeing you (virtually) on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 7 PM!

Best,
Bill
